    Hi CA,

The new forum setup does not have a direct upload feature build in. You would need to upload elsewhere and provide a link here. Sorry about that! I’m trying to keep things “light” on the new forum.

If you’d like, I could upload it and make it available. Up to you!

    Hi Jumpr,

Let’s try reinstalling the cutter driver. Download it from here:

    http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP/MacOSX/FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_3.dmg

Then follow through the installation process and let us know if that helps!

    Talk soon.

There’s are few possibilities that come to mind when considering the problem. If there happens If something has fallen in around where the griftshaft wheels are, that could cause the problem. Or it could simply be something is catching the mat somehow. When the it seems to stop moving, is it almost all the way forward? We’ve had older mats [that have started to curl] catch on the cutter.

Hmm. This sounds like you might need to send the machine in for repair. Come Monday, if you can give Ron (our tech) a call at 800-268-3672, he’ll be able to either provide you with a solution, or provide you with an RMA number for a repair.

OK, sounds good. My thought is that it might be the bladeholder. If this tends to happen more on thick material, it may be pulling the blade out of the bladeholder, causing it to scratch the material. We noticed this happening sometimes, on the old style silver bladeholder. It’s one reason why we changed, once the Zing came out in 2011.

Just to clarify, are the wheels sticking to the material you’re cutting or are they not moving correctly?

    Hi Angie,

Happy to help. What cutter do you have?

    Hi Rose,

Thanks for posting. Are you using the silver bladeholder by any chance? Also, how thick is the material you’re cutting?
