First of all, why do you say SCAL is not available to you? It’s very easy to reinstall and register. If you lost your registration, you can retrieve it. I can help you with all of that… please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Regarding finding free files, have a look at my Great Links page here:
Great news and you’re welcome!
Oh… one question… are you marking that box for registration marks in the SVG window or not? You shouldn’t be because the reg mark layer you have to manually add is not the same thing as SCAL exporting its own “internal” reg marks, which you do not want in C3. Maybe email both the SCUT file and the SVG file to me so that I can look at them and test them myself.
Let’s start with the DPI (Resolution) which according to what I wrote in the Force with C3 user manual (section 4.02.2) needs to be set to 72. See how that goes with your PNC project. Then we’ll work from there. 🙂
I’m the same person helping you on Facebook. I believe you’re going to post a video?
Okay! Hopefully, we can get all of these issues ironed out. Let me start with some questions:
(1) What C3 version are you running?
(2) Is there a reason you’re not cutting directly from SCAL to your Force?
(3) In your SVG Export window, what DPI is selected?
(4) Any chance you’re needing to use Borderless printing in your printer’s Preferences window?
(5) Has auto PNC ever worked for you from C3? Did you try a basic arrow pattern first?
Click on the link I provided in my last post above and fill out the on-line form. Chad will respond within a few days. He’s much better at troubleshooting cutter issues and knows whether or not a cutter needs repair, for example. Note that all KNK USA support tickets are now filed at Plotter Geeks.
I’m just a volunteer here at the forum. I don’t work for KNK USA or for Plotter Geeks.
That does not sound like anything related to the firmware. It sounds more like a communication issue. If you’re using USB, try a different USB cable. Sometimes a corrupt cable can cause random cutting issues. But there can also be mechanical issues with the cutter itself. I recommend starting a support ticket and then, once you’ve done that, let me know so that I can follow up. Here is the link to use:
The firmware update program created by the factory in China is Windows-only. Note there haven’t been any firmware updates released since 2018. Is there a reason you think your Zing Orbit might need one?
The developer of C3 is an independent company and is not interested in any further development of C3 at this time. This was very disappointing to us given the list of features that had originally been requested and never added.
If you are having any difficulties with your Force, please feel free to post what they are. Our Force Facebook group remains active and a lot of information and ideas get shared there. Perhaps I can provide some solutions for you.
Hi Beatriz, I will contact Chad at KNK USA to find out the status of your order. I have no access to their system. Can you share what item(s) you ordered?
I contacted KNK USA but I don’t see a response here yet. If you hear anything directly via email, please post back. Also, the email will probably come from Plotter Geeks instead of KNK USA, so check for that… also in your spam folder.
Did you replace the power supply with one purchased from KNKUSA? You can’t necessarily use anything that seems like it will work. In fact, it can severely damaged the cutter if the specs are not identical.
Force is the downward pressure.
